The Shahapur Taluka Education Society has grown and evolved for 50-plus years, passing many milestones and forging traditions along the way.

### Establishment

The Shahapur Taluka Education Society established a College of Education in 2005. This initiative was taken with the aim of ensuring that students aspiring to become teachers in the Shahapur taluka do not have to travel far for teacher training, and to provide quality education to the students in the region. Today, it appears that the society’s objective has been successfully achieved.

The institution has a qualified and experienced faculty to train student teachers. As a result, the college’s average pass percentage has reached 95%. To foster the personal development of teachers, the college organizes lectures, community service camps, workshops, and extracurricular activities. The college has received numerous awards in competitions such as wall painting and street plays conducted under PEC.
